Final Project

For my final project, I did a bag for UrbanWear, the clothing company that I made up. This project was pretty challenging because I had to measure out all the extra tabs and I had to cut it out and hope everything matched the way I intended for it to. The bag is about 8 inches wide, 1.5 inches deep, and about 7.75 inches long.

This is a magazine ad that I did for TransWorld Skateboarding. Its 8.25 x 10.75 with a full bleed. I used a Microsoft Tag in my design to link the ad to a website. Since UrbanWear isn't a real company, I linked it to TransWorld's website. I used a picture from the istock photo folder on the server. My target audience is pretty much anyone that reads TransWorld Skateboarding magazine.

Direct Mail Piece

These are my thumbs for the direct mail piece project.

This is the front of the design that I chose for my final draft of the project.

This is the back of the design that I chose for my final draft of the project.

My assignment was to make a variable data direct mail piece. I'm promoting a coupon for an online clothing company. My two demagraphics are girls and boys. I am promoting a discount to a clothing store. The two fronts are in full color, while the backs are just black and white. The front and back both have partial bleed. The piece is five inches by seven inches. The pictures are the only thing that changes between my two demagraphics. My friend Kacy Driggers did the photography and she gave me the rights to use these photos for the assignment.

Notepad

This notepad is primarily a conversation piece. It is 5 inches across by 7 inches long. I designed this piece in black and white to lower the cost. This piece has a partial bleed. The artwork is my own that I made in Adobe Illustrator. I only had 2 pads printed and it cost me about 5 dollars to have them done. and it took less than 24 hours to have them printed and binded. After packaging the InDesign file, I turned it into a PDF to have it printed..
